Add/ expand features for media side dock

i really enjoy being able to control my apple music from the left side dock, but it would be nice if i could: view album/ song images quickly select playlists/ AM mixes change button (loop, shuffle volume) sizes Something else I think would be nice is if the volume slider could also control other apps, so there’s a volume mixer for my browser, apple music, premiere pro, etc.

Have the option to adjust the gradient of Liquid Glass as introduced in macos27

With macOS 27 you can now adjust the Liquid Glass effect to be more transparent or to have a glacier effect or just a balance of both. I would love to see that option for Dockside too, as having Liquid Glass set to more transparent, the side docks still have the normal balanced look when having set the appearance to “Dock” under settings. You can especially see the difference when you put a line behind the dock, as shown in the image below.

Instant dock opening

I set the dock to open with no latency. But dockside does not follow. It would be nice to be able to remove its spawn time as well.

DockSide disappear after sleeping

Simetimes, after sleeping, DockSide disappear after Mac’s sleeping some hours. The only solution is to quit and relaunch the application.

Manual placement of Dockside shelves in addition to the default bottom placement

Dockside shelves are placed at the bottom of the screen at the moment. This is also the case when Dock is left/right positioned. Ability to place the Dockside shelves on left or right would be useful for Dock replacement app users (e.g., Sidebar).

Reported by a user, the mouse hover is not detected and hence the Dockside never reveals in this mode.

Ability to choose specific features for each shelf

Currently, I want to use the Media controller and the Screenshot shelf at the same time, with media on the left and Screenshots on the right. With the current settings, this is not possible to my knowledge. If there is a way, can anyone let me know? If not, this change would be greatly appreciated

dockside without dock! (or on a different screen edge)

Dockside is a great dock enhancement. It is also one of the best, minimal “shelf” apps. I keep my dock on the bottom, but I’d love to have dockside come up on the right screen edge all by itself, and take as much screen real estate as I’ve got - instead of fighting with the dock for space. It could be a separate operating mode, where a mouse to the right screen edge would trigger it.
